FoodBev SETA is one of South Africa's 21 Sector Education and Training Authorities, facilitating skills development in the food and beverages manufacturing sector. The organization manages five sub-sector chambers covering meat/fish/fruit/vegetables, dairy, grain/bakery, other food products, and beverages. FoodBev SETA provides accredited training programs, learnerships, internships, bursaries, and skills programs. For cold chain operations, FoodBev SETA offers accredited food safety training including R638 compliance for persons in charge of food premises, HACCP training, good manufacturing practices, warehouse management, and technical skills development. The organization coordinates with training providers nationwide to deliver industry-relevant qualifications aligned with national standards.
